Welcome to the Washington State Assembly of The Association of Surgical Technologists Website.
Happy National
Surgical Technologist Week 2025
The Washington State Assembly (WSA) Board of Directors wishes you all a Happy National Surgical Technologist Week 2025. Your hard work and dedication to this profession are greatly appreciated. You deal with unanticipated bodily fluids and smells, cranky surgeons, and late nights often with little or no sleep. We ensure our patients are safe and get the best care possible. Not only are you in charge of the back table, but you are also the eyes and ears of the OR while the nurses, anesthesia providers, and PA’s are attending to the patient. Additionally, you enforce and educate reps and students on proper sterile technique to ensure that the integrity of the sterile field does not become compromised. Most importantly, you are the keeper of surgical conscience and awareness. In short, YOU are the voice for the patient. On behalf of the board, we want to thank you for all you do and hope you will be celebrated this week.
Our fall workshop is approaching quickly, and it is not too late to register: Click Here: Fall Workshop and Elections 2025- Spokane. This workshop will have great speakers, raffle baskets, door prizes, and more. In addition, it is time for board elections. If you have a strong desire to serve on our board reach out to one of our current board members while attending the conference so we can get you the information you need. Positions up for election are bold and underlined below.
